Ingredients list for Meen Varuval
- 2 Fish Fillets cut into strips
- to taste Lemon Juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon Curry powder
- 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
- 1 cup Refined flour (maida)
- 1/2 teaspoon White pepper powder
- to deep fry Oil
Method
- Place fish strips in a bowl, add salt, garlic paste, curry powder and lemon juice and mix.
- Let them marinate for 15 minutes.
- Mix refined flour with white pepper powder and salt on a flat plate.
- Dredge small lots of marinated fish strips in the seasoned flour, shake off the excess flour.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, gently slide in fish strips and deep fry till golden brown.
- Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
