Ingredients list for Maune
- 2 cups Refined flour (maida)
- 1 1/4 cups Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 6 tablespoons Ghee
- 1 1/4 cups Milk
- to deep fry Oil
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.Knead together refined flour, castor sugar, ghee and milk to make a stiff dough.
- Cover with a damp cloth and rest for a few minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and shape into small roundels called maunes.
- Place the maunes on a baking tray and place the tray in the preheated oven.
- Bake for twenty to twenty-five minutes or till light golden.
- Serve hot.
