Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon white sesame seeds + to garnish
- 1 teaspoon black sesame seeds +to garnish
- 2 cups baby potatoes, boiled and peeled
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 teaspoons cumin seeds
- 2 teaspoons chopped ginger
- 2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
- Chopped spring onion greens as required
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, ginger, green chillies and onion, mix and sauté till onion is translucent.
- Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and some water and mix well.
- Add potatoes and salt, mix well and cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Add some water and mix. Add white and black sesame seeds and chaat masala and mix well.
- Add spring onion greens and mix well. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot garnished with black sesame seeds, white sesame seeds and spring onions.
