Ingredients
- 3 cups puffed rice (kurmura)
- ¾ cup chopped jaggery
- 2 tablespoons ghee + for greasing
¼ cup creamy peanut butter - 1 tablespoon mixed fruit jam
- ¼ cup crushed roasted peanuts
- 1 cup melted dark chocolate
- Salt for garnishing
- Walnuts for garnishing
- Roasted and peeled peanuts for garnishing
- Roasted Bengal gram for garnishing
- Fresh coriander sprigs for garnishing
Method
Heat a non-stick wok, add jaggery, ghee and peanut butter and cook until jaggery melts.
Add jam and mix well, add puffed rice, crushed peanuts and mix well.
Grease an aluminum tray with ghee. Transfer the mixture onto the tray and spread it evenly, roll a rolling pin over it to level the top and set aside until it sets.
Demould and cut into thick sticks and then cut each stick into half.
Dip half the bar pieces in melted dark chocolate and place it on a wire rack, sprinkle some salt on it. Garnish the rest with walnuts, peanuts, roasted Bengal gram and coriander sprigs.
