Ingredients list for Kharvas
- 3/4 litre Colostrum
- 3/4 cups Milk
- 1 1/4 cup Sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- a pinch Nutmeg
- a few strands Saffron (kesar)
Method
- Mix all the ingredients well. Heat some water in a pressure cooker.
- Pour the mixture into a deep container and steam in the pressure cooker for ten minutes over medium heat.
- Lower heat and continue to steam for fifteen minutes longer.
- Remove the container from the cooker and set aside to cool.
- Chill in a refrigerator for a couple of hours. Cut into cubes and serve.
