Ingredients list for Hash Brown Potatoes

  • 6 medium Potato parboiled
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 7-8 Black peppercorns ground coarsely
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg powder
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh parsley chopped

Method

  1. Peel and grate potatoes. Heat a non-stick pan. Add onion and roast till translucent. Remove from heat. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Mix grated potatoes and roasted onions along with salt, half teaspoon of ground peppercorns, nutmeg powder.
  3. Mix well and arrange potato mixture in a tray and spread evenly with hand. Sprinkle the remaining ground peppercorns.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven at 200°C for ten to fifteen minutes or till the mixture gets a light brown colour. Cut into portions, garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
