Ingredients list for Gulab Jamun Cupcakes with Buttercream Frosting
- 75 grams Gulab jamuns chopped
- 175 grams Refined flour (maida)
- 185 grams Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 30 grams Cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon Baking soda
- 100 millilitres Black coffee
- 3 Eggs
- 120 millilitres Buttermilk
- 210 millilitres Refined oil
- For icing
- 300 grams Butter softened
- 540 grams Icing sugar
- 3 tablespoons Condensed milk
- 50 grams Chocolate bars
Method
- Preheat the oven at 180ºC.
- In a mixing bowl, add refined flour, castor sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, gulab jamun, mix it well and keep aside.
- In another bowl, add black coffee, break eggs, add butter milk, oil and whisk it nicely.
- Mix the dry ingredients and wet ingredients together to make a batter.
- Line the cupcake moulds with liners and fill the moulds with the prepared batter. Bang the mould once so there are no air pockets.
- Bake it for fifteen to twenty minutes. Take out and let it come on a room temperature.
- Take a mixing bowl, add the softened butter and blend it once. Now add the icing sugar in three parts beating till it gets fluffy.
- Add the condensed milk and blend again. Take a piping bag with a nozzle and fill it with the prepared frosting.
- Take the cupcakes and pipe out the butter icing over it.
- Chop the chocolate bar and top the cupcakes with it. And serve.
