Ingredients
- 8 slices of bread
- 2 medium potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
- 1 medium green capsicum, finely chopped
- ½ cup grated cheese
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons coriander and mint chutney
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
- Salt to taste
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
Method
- Mix potatoes and capsicum. Apply butter and coriander, and mint chutney on one side of all the bread slices. Place four slices of bread on a board and spread a layer of potato and capsicum mix on each slice evenly.
- Top with onion and tomato slices and cheese. Sprinkle salt, pepper powder and chaat masala. Finally, cover it with the remaining bread slices.
- Lightly press so that all the layers are firm and even. Preheat the sandwich grill. Apply butter on the exposed side of the bread slices and grill for five minutes or till golden and crisp on both sides.
- Cut the grilled sandwich with a sharp knife and serve with tomato ketchup and coriander, and mint chutney.
