Ingredients list for Gougères
- ½ cup Refined flour (maida)
- ¾ cup Mozzarella cheese grated
- 5 tablespoons Butter
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ? teaspoon Crushed black peppercorns
- 2 Eggs
- ¼ teaspoon Fresh parsley chopped
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
Method
- Preheat oven to 220°C. Line a baking tray with a silicon sheet.
- Heat three-fourth cup of water in a non-stick pan. Add butter, salt and crushed peppercorns, mix and bring to a boil.
- Add flour and stir until it forms dough. Cook for two minutes to dry out.
- Transfer the dough into a bowl and cool slightly. Add eggs, one at a time, and mix until well combined.
- Add mozzarella cheese and parsley, mix well. Divide the dough into twelve equal portions and shape them into balls.
- Place the prepared balls on the lined tray. Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for ten minutes. Reduce the temperature to 190° C and bake for twenty to twenty-five minutes.
- Serve warm.
