Ingredients list for Goat Cheese Fritters
- 400 grams Goat cheese crumbled
- 420 grams Ricotta cheese drained
- 2 tablespoons Chives fresh
- 1/4 teaspoon Refined flour (maida)
- to taste Salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Walnuts,chopped
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Bread crumbs
- for deep-frying Oil
- 1 Egg white beaten lightly
Method
- Place goat’s cheese and ricotta cheese in a bowl. Finely chop chives and add along with refined flour and salt and mix well. Add walnuts and egg and mix well.
- Place the breadcrumbs in a bowl. Take a small portion of the mixture and shape into walnut sized balls, roll in breadcrumbs and place on a plate. Keep in a refrigerator to chill for 15-20 minutes. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai on medium heat.
- Take the fritters out of the refrigerator, dip in egg white, roll in the breadcrumbs once more and slide into hot oil. Deep fry till light golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
