By Sanjeev Kapoor 16 Nov 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Dried figs, Walnut kernels Cuisine Fusion Course Desserts Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 51-60 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Fig and Walnut Loaf 50 grams Dried figs chopped 80 grams Walnut kernels chopped 1 cup Butter 1 3/4 cups Sugar 4 Eggs 2 cups Refined flour (maida) 1/4 cup Cocoa powder 1 teaspoon Baking powder 100 millilitres Olive oil Method Preheat oven to 170° C. Grease a loaf tin with butter. Cream butter and sugar in a bowl till light and fluffy. Add eggs, one by one, and mix till well combined. Sift together flour, cocoa powder and baking powder into another bowl. Add chopped walnuts and fig to the flour mixture and mix till the nuts well coated. Fold in the flour mixture into the egg mixture gently till well mixed. Add oil and fold in very gently. Pour the batter into the greased loaf tin and bake it for thirty to thirty five minutes, or till a skewer inserted comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let it cool for ten minutes. Remove the loaf from the tin, slice and serve warm dusted with icing sugar.
