Ingredients list for Date and Walnut Halwa - SK Khazana
- 2 cups Dates seeded and chopped
- 12-15 Walnuts chopped
- 2 tablespoons Ghee
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 Khoya / Mawa grated
- 1/2 cup Castor sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- to garnish Silver varq
Method
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add dates and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add milk and continue to cook until dates are soft and pulpy.
- Add khoya, walnuts, sugar and green cardamom powder and mix.
- Cook, stirring continuously, for 10-15 minutes or till almost dry.
- Transfer into serving bowls, garnish with silver varq and serve hot.
