Corn Fritters

Cream style corn mixed with fresh breadcrumbs and some aromatics, shaped into fritters and deep-fried. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Corn Fritters

  • 300 grams Corn corb canned cream style
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Cornflour/ corn starch
  • ¼ cup Spring onion greens finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • to taste Salt
  • for deep-frying Oil

Method

  1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  2. Combine cream style corn, breadcrumbs, spring onion greens, red chilli flakes, black pepper powder, salt and mix. Add cornstarch and mix well.
  3. Shape them in balls and flatten to shape them into fritters. Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown in colour. Drain on absorbent paper
  4. Serve hot.
