Ingredients for Coffee Cake - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Coffee decoction 1/4 cup

  • Butter 100 grams

  • Castor sugar 3/4 cup

  • Eggs 2

  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon

  • Biscuits ground 1 1/2 cups

  • Cocoa powder 1/2 cup

  • Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Fresh cream as required

  • Icing sugar to garnish


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180º C.

Step 2

Take butter in a bowl, add castor sugar and beat with an electric hand blender till the mixture is pale and fluffy.

Step 3

Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well till light peaks are formed.

Step 4

Add vanilla essence and mix well. Add ground biscuits, cocoa powder and baking powder. Gently cut and fold the mixture till well mixed.

Step 5

Add coffee decoction and fold into the mixture. Transfer the batter into cups.

Step 6

Put cream in a piping bag and pipe out cream on top of the batter and spread it with a toothpick to create a design.

Step 7

Keep the cups in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Step 8

Bring the cups out of the oven, let them cool slightly. Sift icing sugar on top and serve immediately.
