Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons chocolate sauce + for serving
- 1 cup whole wheat flour (atta)
- ½ cup oats powder
- ½ cup finger millet flour (nachni/ragi)
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons olive oil + as required
- Butter as required
- Honey for serving
- Maple syrup for serving
- Chocolate-hazelnut sauce for serving
Method
- Mix together wheat flour, oats flour and finger millet in a bowl. Break in eggs and whisk well. Add milk gradually and whisk well to make a semi-thick batter.
- Add baking powder and whisk. Add chocolate sauce and whisk. Add 2 teaspoons olive oil and whisk well. Set aside for 5 minutes.
- To prepare one pancake, heat 1 teaspoon in a non-stick tawa. Pour a ladleful of batter and slightly swirl the pan to make a semi-thick disc and cook from both sides till golden brown. Transfer on a plate.
- To prepare another pancake, pour a ladleful of batter, swirl the pan to make a semi-thick disc, spread some butter around the edges and cook from both sides till golden brown, applying some butter.
- Serve hot with honey, maple syrup, chocolate sauce or chocolate-hazelnut sauce.
