Ingredients list for Chocolate Pancake

  • 1 tsp + to serve Chocolate sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups Whole wheat flour (atta)
  • 2 tablespoons Oats , crushed
  • 2 tablespoons Finger millet (nachni) flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • as required Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 tsp + as required Olive oil
  • as required Butter
  • to serve Honey
  • to serve Maple syrup
  • to serve Chocolate-hazelnut sauce

Method

  1. Take whole wheat flour in a mixing bowl, add crushed oats and finger millet. Break in the eggs and whisk well. Add milk gradually and whisk well to make a semi-thick batter.
  2. Add baking powder and whisk. Add chocolate sauce and whisk. Add 1 teaspoon olive oil and whisk well. Set aside for 5 minutes.
  3. To prepare each pancake, heat 1 teaspoon in a non-stick pan. Pour a ladleful of batter. Do not spread it with the ladle and cook till the underside is done. Flip and cook till the other side is similarly done. Transfer onto a plate.
  4. To prepare another pancake, pour a ladleful of batter, spread some butter around the edges and cook. When the underside is done, flip, spread some more butter and cook till the other side is similarly done. Transfer onto the same plate
  5. Serve hot with honey, maple syrup, chocolate sauce or chocolate-hazelnut sauce.
