The capital city of Himachal Pradesh in India, Shimla has many farms of capsicum. Hence, the Hindi name. Besides this, though not loved by all, this veggie is the most essential whenever you plan to dish-up an Indo-Chinese recipe. Stuff them up with cheese, beans, other veggies or meats or just make a simple sabzi, it will surely add that exciting crisp to your creations!

Ingredients for Chilli Cheese Pizza Toast Recipe

  • Green Capsicum 4

  • Cheese for cooking

  • Cheese grated 1 cup

  • Onions finely chopped 2 medium

  • Green capsicum finely chopped 1/2 medium

  • Crushed black peppercorns 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tablespoons


Step 1

Heat a little oil in a non stick grill pan. Place each pizza base in it and cook on a low heat flipping sides till grill marks appear on it.

Step 2

Mix together cheese, onions, green capsicum, green chillies, black peppercorns, salt and coriander leaves in a bowl.

Step 3

Spread this mixture on the pizza bases. Place each pizza in the grill pan and cook on low heat till the cheese melts.

Step 4

Cut into 8 pieces. Transfer the pizza pieces onto a serving plate and serve hot.
