Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Veggie Wrap - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Boneless chicken breasts 2

  • Iceberg lettuce leaves a few

  • Purple cabbage shredded as required

  • Small cucumber peeled and cut into thin slices 1

  • Pickled gherkins thinly sliced 2-3

  • Pickled jalapenos sliced 2-3

  • Tortillas roasted 4

  • Olive oil 2 tablespoons + for grilling

  • Salt to taste

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Dried mixed herbs 2 teaspoons

  • Mustard mayonnaise for drizzling

  • Medium avocado 1

Method

Step 1

Put chicken breasts in a bowl. Add olive oil, salt, crushed peppercorns and mixed herbs, rub well and set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 2

Heat some olive oil in a non-stick grill pan. Place marinated chicken breasts on it and grill till evenly done form both the sides and chicken is cooked. Remove from heat and shred.

Step 3

Put some shredded lettuce onto tortillas. Top with a portion of shredded chicken and drizzle some mayonnaise.

Step 4

Top with cabbage, cucumber slices, gherkin slices and jalapeno slices. Sprinkle salt and crushed peppercorns.

Step 5

Halve avocado, scoop out flesh and place on each tortilla. Drizzle some more mayonnaise on top.

Step 6

Warp and serve immediately.
