When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Stuffed Bell Peppers - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Chicken mince 1 cup

  • Large mixed capsicums (bell peppers) 4

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Spring onion bulbs chopped 3-4

  • Medium tomato finely chopped 1

  • Paprika 1 teaspoon

  • Mixed dried herbs 1 teaspoon

  • Black pepper powder to taste

  • Green capsicum finely chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Processed cheese grated 1 cup

  • Cheese slices 4


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180º C.

Step 2

Cut the top portion of bell peppers and scoop out the seeds to make cups.

Step 3

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add spring onion bulbs and sauté till translucent. Add tomato, mix well and cook till it turns soft and pulpy.

Step 4

Add paprika, mixed herbs, pepper powder and salt and mix well. Add chicken mince and mix.

Step 5

Add some water and mix. Add capsicum, mix well, cover and cook till fully done. Add grated cheese and mix well.

Step 6

Stuff the prepared chicken mixture into bell pepper cups and top each with a cheese slice.

Step 7

Place the stuffed bell peppers on a baking tray, put tray in the preheated oven and bake till the cheese melts.

Step 8

Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
