Ingredients list for Cheddar Sausage Bread Roll - SK Khazana
- as required Cheddar cheese block
- 3 Processed cheese slices
- 2 Chicken sausages
- 1 1/4 cups for dusting Refined flour (maida)
- 1 pinches Salt
- 5 grams Fresh yeast
- 2 tablespoons Castor sugar
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- for brushi Butter melted
- to serve Tomato ketchup
Method
- Take refined flour in a bowl, add salt, mix well and set aside. In another bowl, add yeast, castor sugar and ¼ cup lukewarm water. Mix well and set aside to activate.
- Add the activated yeast to the flour mixture along with sufficient water and knead to soft dough.
- Add oil and knead to smooth dough. Cover with a cling wrap and set aside to prove.
- Preheat the oven at 180º C.
- Knock back the dough, and dust the worktop with some flour. Place dough on it and roll out into a large disc. Brush some butter on top.
- Grate cheese on top and spread evenly. Place cheese slices on one side of the disc. Top with sausages on it.
- Roll tightly into a cylinder and seal by folding the edges and sides inwards.
- Place the bread roll on a baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Bring the tray out of the oven, cut the bread into slices and arrange them on a serving platter.
- Serve immediately with a bowl of tomato ketchup.
