Ingredients list for Chana Dal Halwa - SK Khazana
- 1 cup Split Bengal gram soaked and boiled
- 1/4 cup Pure ghee
- a few + for garnish Saffron strands
- 1/2 cup Khoya / mawa grated
- 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamon powder
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Pistachios sliced
- 8-10 Cashewnuts havled
- 2 tablespoons Almond slivers
Method
- Heat a non-stick pan. Add Bengal gram along with its water and mash slightly with a churner.
- Add ghee and mix well. Add saffron, mix and cook for 5-6 minutes or till the mixture reduces to half.
- Add khoya, mix and cook till it melts. Add cardamom powder and sugar, mix and cook till sugar dissolves.
- Add pistachios, cashewnuts and almonds, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Garnish with saffron strands and serve hot.
