By Sanjeev Kapoor 22 Feb 2016 in Recipes Veg New Update Main Ingredients Brown rice, Oil Cuisine Chinese Course Rice Prep Time 51-60 minutes Cook time 41-50 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Brown Rice With Greens 1 1/2 cup Brown rice soaked 3 tablespoons Oil 10 leaves Spinach 3-4 Spring onions sliced 1 medium Green capsicum cut into diamonds 10-15 Snow peas blanched optional 8-10 florets Broccoli blanched 5-6 French beans cut into diamonds and blanched 1/4 teaspoon MSG 1 tablespoon Green chilli sauce to taste Salt 1 teaspoon Soy sauce 1/2 cup Bean sprouts 2 stalks Spring onion greens chopped Method Boil rice in five cups of salted water till just done. Drain and add one tablespoon oil to prevent the grains from sticking. Keep aside to cool. Blanch the spinach leaves in two cups of hot water for two to three minutes. Drain, refresh and chop. Heat remaining oil in a wok, add spring onions and sauté till translucent. Add spinach, green capsicum, snow peas, broccoli, French beans along with MSG and stir-fry for thirty seconds. Add green chilli sauce, salt, soy sauce and mix. Add cooked rice and mix gently. Add bean sprouts and mix gently. Garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot.
