By Sanjeev Kapoor 17 Sep 2018 in Recipes Non Veg New Update Borscht Main Ingredients Boneless mutton, Potatoes Cuisine Russian Course Soups Prep Time 10-15 minutes Cook time 40-45 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients 500 grams boneless mutton, cut into small pieces 1 medium beetroot, peeled and grated 1 tbsp oil 1 large onion, finely chopped 4-5 garlic cloves ½ cup tomato puree Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns to taste 1 medium potato, peeled and cut into cubes ½ cup grated carrot 2 tbsps shredded cabbage 1 tbsp lemon juice Fresh sprig of parsley for garnish Method Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté till translucent. Add garlic and mix well. Add mutton pieces and mix well. Sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add tomato puree, mix well. Add salt, crushed black peppercorns and mix well. Add sufficient water, mix and bring to a boil Add potato, carrot, beetroot, cabbage and lemon juice, mix well, cover and cook till mutton and vegetables are fully done.
