Ingredients list for Bhakri

  • 2 cups + for dusting Rice flour
  • 1 cup Drumstick leaves blanched and drained
  • 50 grams Bhuna masala
  • to taste Salt
  • as required White butter

Method

  1. Finely chop drumstick leaves and place them in a bowl. Add rice flour, bhuna masala, salt and mix well.
  2. Add hot water as required and knead into soft dough. Cover with a damp cloth and rest for a couple of minutes.
  3. Heat a non-stick tawa.
  4. Divide the dough into equal sized balls. Dust each of them with a little dry rice flour and flatten into small bhakris.
  5. Place one bhakri at a time on hot tawa and cook, turning sides, till evenly golden on both sides.
  6. Transfer the bhakris on a serving plate. Put a dollop of white butter on each bhakri and serve hot.
