Ingredients list for Banana Chocolate Chip Cake
- 1 cup Banana Puree
- 150 grams Chocolate Chips
- 1 1/2 cups for dusting Refined flour (maida)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- 3/4 cup Castor sugar
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 2 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 1/4 cup Yogurt
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar whisked
- for greasing Oil
Method
- Preheat oven to 180º C.
- Sift together refined flour, salt and baking soda into a large mixing bowl. Add sugar and mix well. Add butter and mix well.
- Break eggs and add. Add vanilla essence, yogurt and mix well.
- Add banana puree and mix well. Add brown sugar and beat with electric beater till smooth. Reserve some chocolate chips and add the rest and mix well.
- Grease a cake tin with oil and dust with some refined flour. Pour the batter into the tin and tap the tin on the worktop to settle the batter well and level it out. - Put the cake tin in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes.
- Remove the cake from the oven, cool down to room temperature and demould, cut into wedges, arrange on a serving platter and serve.
