Ingredients list for Avocado French Fries
- 2 medium Avocados
- 1 1/4 cups Bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon Crushed black peppercorns
- 2 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
- 1/4 cup Refined flour (maida)
- Salt
- Oil for deep-frying
- 1 medium red bell pepper
- 2 tablespoons Tomato ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Mustard sauce
- 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese powder
Method
- Halve avocado, discard seed, peel and cut into ½ inch thick wedges and place in a bowl.
- Add salt, crushed peppercorns and mix well.
- Beat 1 egg in another bowl and add to the avocado wedges. Mix well and set aside.
- Break remaining egg in another bowl and beat well. Add salt, black pepper powder and beat again.
- Dust avocado wedges one by one with the refined flour, dip in beaten egg mixture and coat evenly in breadcrumbs. Dust off the excess breadcrumbs.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry prepared avocado wedges till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- To make dip, deseed and cut bell pepper into small dices and place in a bowl. Add tomato ketchup, mustard sauce, mayonnaise, Tabasco sauce and mix well.
- Garnish avocado fries with Parmesan cheese powder and serve hot with dip.
