Ingredients list for Atte ka Halwa
- 1 cup Whole wheat flour (atta)
- 1 cup Ghee
- 1 tablespoon Semolina
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Mixed nuts (almonds, pistachios, cashewnuts) finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
Method
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add wheat flour, mix and saute for 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously.
- Add semolina, mix and cook till dark golden brown, stirring continuously. Add sugar, mix and cook till it melts and mixture thickens slightly.
- Add 4 cups hot water, mix and cook till the mixture thickens, stirring occasionally.
- Add mixed nuts and cardamom powder and mix well. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
- Transfer into individual serving bowls and serve at room temperature.
