Ingredients list for Aloo Paneer Rolls

  • 2 large Potatoes peeled and mashed
  • 200 grams Cottage cheese grated
  • 1 tablespoons Raisins
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Dried red chillies crushed
  • 3-4 Green chillies finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves,finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 4 tablespoons Refined flour (maida)
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs

Method

  1. Soak raisins in warm water for some time before use. Heat one tablespoon oil in a non stick frying pan and sauté onion till translucent.
  2. Mix together paneer, potatoes, crushed red chillies, fried onion, green chillies, coriander leaves, garam masala powder, salt and raisins. Shape into cylindrical croquettes. Add a little salt to the refined flour and roll the croquettes in it.
  3. Dip in the milk and roll in the breadcrumbs. Keep the aloo paneer croquettes in the refrigerator for an hour or more. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry the rolls till golden brown and drain on an absorbent paper. Serve hot with coriander and mint chutney.
