Ingredients list for Lavash
- 2 cups + for dusting Refined flour (maida)
- a pinch Salt
- 1 teaspoon Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 2 teaspoons Fresh parsley ,chopped
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- as required Oil
- to sprinkle Sumac
Method
- Preheat oven to 180° C.
- Take 2 cups flour in a bowl, add salt, castor sugar and parsley and mix. Add sufficient water and knead into a soft dough. Add butter and knead again.
- Divide the dough into equal portions. Dust the worktop with some flour and roll out each portion into thin discs.
- Grease a baking tray with some oil, place the discs and dork with a fork. Brush some oil and sprinkle some sumac on top.
- Cut the discs into thin strips. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Make more lavash with the remaining dough.
- Transfer the lavash strips into a glass or spread them on a platter and serve.
