Ingredients for Tuna Cakes-Cook Smart Recipe

  • Tuna 1 tin

  • Medium onion 1

  • Garlic cloves 2

  • Eggs hard boiled and peeled 4

  • Medium potatoes boiled and peeled 2

  • Salt to taste

  • Schezwan chutney 1 teaspoon

  • Oil for greasi to shallow fry

  • Salad leaves 4-5

  • Micro greens for garnish


Step 1

Quarter the onion and roughly chop garlic and put both into a grinder jar. Halve the eggs and put into the grinder jar and grind into a coarse mixture. Transfer mixture into a mixing bowl.

Step 2

Strain excess liquid from tuna and add to the ground egg mixture. Grate potatoes into it.Add salt and mix well.

Step 3

Add schezwan chutney and mix well. Refrigerate the mixture till chilled.

Step 4

Grease your palms with oil. Heat some oil in a non-stick pan.

Step 5

Divide the tuna mixture into large equal portions and shape them into cakes. Place these cakes in the pan and shallow-fry, turning sides carefully, till evenly golden on both sides.

Step 6

Tear salad leaves and place on a serving platter. Put tuna cakes on it, garnish with some micro greens and serve hot.
