Ingredients list for Tallela Masalyatla Sarga

  • 1 large Black pomfret cut into darnes
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic paste
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Tamarind pulp
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • Oil,shallow fry
  • 1/2 cup Rice flour

Method

  1. Marinate the fish with ginger paste, garlic paste and salt and let it stand for half an hour preferably in a refrigerator. Mix together tamarind pulp, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder.
  2. Apply the above mixture to the fish and let it stand for at least ten minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Roll the fish pieces in rice flour and shallow fry in moderately hot oil till done. Drain onto an absorbent paper. Serve hot.
