Ingredients for Strawberry Shrikhand Fruit Tarts Recipe

  • Strawberries 8-10

  • Tart Shells 12

  • Sugar 1 cup

  • Apple peeled and cut into small cubes 1 medium

  • Pear peeled and cut into cubes 1 medium

  • Lemon rind grated 1/2 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 7-8 drops

  • Grapes halved 1/2 cup

  • Ripe banana peeled and sliced 1

  • Hung yogurt 1 cup

  • For garnishing

  • Few strawberry slices


Step 1

Roughly chop strawberries and grind to a purée.

Step 2

Heat a non-stick pan, add the purée and ½ cup sugar and cook for 5-6 minutes or till the mixture thickens.

Step 3

Transfer half of this mixture into a bowl, cool and chill in the refrigerator.

Step 4

Add apple and pear to the mixture remaining in the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add lemon rind, lemon juice and the remaining sugar and cook till the mixture becomes dry. Switch off the heat.

Step 5

Add grapes and banana and mix well. Transfer the mixture into another bowl, cool and chill in the refrigerator.

Step 6

To make shrikhand, mix together hung curd and chilled strawberry purée. Transfer this shrikhand into a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.

Step 7

Arrange the tart shells on a serving plate. Fill the tarts with the fruit mixture. Pipe the shrikhand over the fruits. Garnish with strawberry slices and serve.
