Stir Fried Pak Choy With Sesame Sauce

A simple dish prepared by stir frying pak choy and serving with sesame sauce. Serve this recipe on it's own. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients 

  • 4 pak choy
  • 3 tablespoons sesame seeds (til)
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 5-6 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil (til oil)
  • 1 1/2 inch ginger pieces, chopped

Method

  1. For the sauce, toast the sesame seeds till lightly coloured and fragrant. Crush to a paste with the sugar, half the garlic and soy sauce in a pestle with a mortar or in a spice grinder.
  2. Add enough sesame oil to make a pourable sauce Heat a little sesame oil in a wok and sauté the ginger and rest of the garlic for half a minute. Add the pak choy and stir-fry quickly until the stems are just tender.
  3. Transfer onto the serving plate, drizzle with the sauce and serve immediately.
