Ingredients list for Orange Squash
- 2 1/4 cups Orange juice
- 2 1/2 cups Sugar
- 3 teaspoons Citric acid
- 1 teaspoon Orange colour
- 1 teaspoon Orange essence
- 1/2 teaspoon Potassium metabisulfite (KMS)
Method
- Boil together sugar, two cups of water and citric acid till all the sugar has dissolved.
- Line a strainer with a muslin cloth and keep it over a bowl.
- Pour the sugar syrup into the strainer and strain.
- Add orange juice and cool. Add colour and essence and mix well.
- Dissolve the KMS in a little water and add to the squash. Pour into sterilised bottles and store.
