Ingredients list for Lavash
- 1 1/2 cup Refined flour
- 4 grams Fresh Yeast
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds (til)
- 2 tablespoons Oil
Method
- Mix yeast, sugar and half a cup of lukewarm water and set aside to ferment. Sieve flour with salt into a bowl. Add the yeast mixture and knead, stretching it from time to time, till you get a soft dough.
- Set aside covered with a damp cloth to prove for thirty to thirty five minutes or till the dough feels light. Preheat oven to 180°C/350ºF/Gas Mark 4. Grease a baking tray Knock back the dough.
- Roll out on a floured surface to half-centimeter thick rectangle. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and roll again lightly. Cut into long triangles and place them on a baking tray.
- Bake in the preheated oven for twenty to twenty minutes or till crisp.
