This refreshing yogurt side is great to moisten and mellow down spicy rolls and wraps and as a fun dip with snacks and starters. In addition to the great taste the probiotics in yogurt have plenty of nutritive qualities.

Ingredients for Irani Raita Recipe

  • Yogurt whisked 2 cups

  • Cucumber chopped 4 medium

  • Honey 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Walnuts chopped 5-6

  • Raisins chopped 7-8

  • Roasted cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped sprigs a few


Step 1

In a large bowl combine chopped cucumbers, yogurt, honey, walnuts, raisins, cumin powder, salt to taste and half of the fresh coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 2

Garnish with remaining coriander leaves. Serve chilled as an accompaniment.
