Ingredients list for Granola Bars

  • 2/3 cup Almonds chopped
  • 1 1/4 cup Oats
  • 2/3 cup Raisins
  • 2/3 cup Golden apricots finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Prunes soaked in warm water for 10-15 minutes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla essence
  • 2/3 cup Honey
  • 2/3 cups Walnuts chopped
  • 2/3 cup Sunflower seeds (charoli/chironji)
  • for greasing Oil

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C.
  2. Mix almonds, walnuts, raisins and golden apricots in a bowl.
  3. Put prunes, cinnamon powder, vanilla essence and honey in a blender jar and blend into a thick paste.
  4. Add 1 cup oats and blend again, transfer into the bowl. Add remaining oats and sunflower seeds. Mix well.
  5. Grease an aluminium tray and transfer oat mixture into it. Spread evenly and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Cool for 15 minutes or till it reaches room temperature, then keep the tray in the freezer to chill. Cut into bars. Store in an airtight container.
