Fudge Brownie Sundae

A delightful combination of walnut brownie, chocolate sauce and chocolate chips with the goodness of vanilla ice cream. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Fudge Brownie Sundae

  • 100 grams Dark chocolate
  • 4 scoops Vanilla ice cream
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Walnut kernels
  • 90 grams Butter
  • 1 cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
  • 2 cup Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
  • for greasing Oil
  • 1 Refined flour (maida)
  • 4 tablespoons Chocolate sauce
  • 30 grams Chocolate chips

Method

  1. Sift flour and baking powder and keep aside. Chop walnuts.
  2. Grease a round microwave dish and line it with butter paper.
  3. Combine chocolate and butter in a large microwave bowl and soften, uncovered, on Microwave HIGH (100%) for one minute. Beat in caster sugar, eggs and vanilla essence and blend well.
  4. Add the sifted flour and nuts and mix well. Pour the mixture into a greased bowl.
  5. Place the bowl on an upturned saucer and cook, uncovered, on Microwave HIGH (100%) for seven minutes. Allow standing time of five minutes.
  6. Insert a skewer, if it comes out clean it is done. If not cook, uncovered, on Microwave MEDIUM (60%) for two more minutes.
  7. Place on wire rack to cool. Cut into squares.
  8. In serving glasses, place the brownie pieces, top with a scoop of ice cream followed by chocolate sauce.
  9. Sprinkle chocolate chips and serve immediately.
