Ingredients for Cream of Lauki Soup Recipe

  • Bottle gourd (lauki/doodhi cut into cubes 1 medium

  • Onion cut into small cubes 2 medium

  • Garlic crushed 10 cloves

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder to taste

  • Vinegar A dash


Step 1

Pressure cook bottle gourd, onions and garlic with four cups of water till three whistles or till soft. Strain the vegetables.

Step 2

Grind the vegetables to a smooth paste and strain the pulp.

Step 3

Heat a non stick pan. Boil the strained water and vegetable pulp.

Step 4

If the soup thickens, add a little water to get a soup consistency.

Step 5

Add salt and pepper powder to taste. Mix well.

Step 6

Serve hot with a dash of vinegar.
