Ingredients for Cool Cool Lauki Recipe

  • Bottle gourd (lauki/doodhi) 1 1/2 kilogram

  • Fresh cream 3 cups

  • Green cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Honey 2 tablespoons

  • Sugar 1 cup


Step 1

Grate the bottle gourd. Set aside.

Step 2

Heat a non stick pan, add the grated bottle gourd and cook it with sugar and cardamom powder till soft and dry.

Step 3

Remove from the heat and cool. When it is completely cool add the cream and honey and whisk lightly.

Step 4

Freeze in an air tight container. When it’s about ¾ frozen, remove into a bowl and beat slowly for 10 minutes. Then refreeze.

Step 5

Scoop into bowls and serve cold.
