Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Choti Kabab Recipe

  • Mutton Mince 250 grams

  • Gram flour 1/2 teaspoon

  • Garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon

  • Onions 2 medium

  • Green chilli paste 1/2 teaspoon

  • Cumin powder 1 tablespoon

  • White pepper powder 1 teaspoon

  • Garam masala powder 1 tablespoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Fresh bread crumbs 1/2 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Gram flour (besan) 6 tablespoons

  • Oil to deep fry


Step 1

Add all the ingredients except besan and oil to mutton mince and mix thoroughly.

Step 2

Make a not too thick batter of besan, a pinch of red chilli powder and salt with water. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Make marble sized balls of the mince mixture, dip in the besan batter and drop into hot oil.

Step 3

Deep fry till golden. Drain onto an absorbent paper and serve hot.
