Ingredients for Chocolate Mousse Shots Recipe

  • Dark chocolate chopped 120 grams

  • Fresh cream 60 millilitres

  • Egg yolks 2

  • Egg 1

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) 600 grams

  • Orange juice 1 tablespoon

  • Whipped cream 1 cup

  • Chocolate shavings for garnishing


Step 1

Heat cream in a non-stick pan and once it comes to a slight boil, turn off heat. Add chocolate and mix well.

Step 2

Place the egg yolks and the egg in the upper bowl of a double boiler. Add sugar and whisk well to make a sabayon.

Step 3

Take the bowl off the double boiler. Add the chocolate ganache and mix. Add orange juice and mix well. Add whipped cream and fold in well.

Step 4

Fill the mixture into a piping bag and pipe into individual shot glasses. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours or till set.

Step 5

Garnish with chocolate shavings and serve.
