Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Cook time : 26-30 minutes

Ingredients for Chicken Tomato Chilli Recipe

  • Chicken cut into 1 inch pieces 1 kilogram

  • Tomato 2 tablespoons

  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil to deep fr

  • Green chilli paste 2 tablespoons

  • Tomato puree 2 cups

  • coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon


Step 1

In a large bowl mix together chicken, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, lemon juice, turmeric powder and salt and set aside for half an hour.

Step 2

Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick kadai. Deep fry the chicken on medium heat till done. Drain on absorbent paper and set aside. Heat two tablespoons oil in a non-stick pan.

Step 3

Add green chilli paste, salt and tomato puree and mix well and cook on low heat for ten minutes. Add chicken pieces and cook on low heat for five minutes.

Step 4

Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
