Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken In Almond Sauce Recipe

  • Boneless chicken breasts 4

  • Almond paste 1/4 cup

  • Butter 3 tablespoons

  • Onion chopped 1 medium

  • Garlic chopped 5-6 cloves

  • Button mushrooms sliced 4-5 medium

  • White sauce 1/2 cup

  • Tomato puree 1/4 cup

  • Tomato ketchup 2 tablespoons

  • Olive oil 2 tablespoons

  • Green capsicum seeded and cubed 1/2 medium

  • Yellow capsicums seeded and cubed 1/2 medium

  • Red capsicum seeded and cubed 1/2 medium

  • Salt to taste

  • Nutmeg powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Mixed herbs 1/4 teaspoon

  • Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon


Step 1

Heat butter in a pan. Add onion and garlic and sauté. Add fresh button mushrooms and continue to sauté.

Step 2

Add chicken pieces and continue to sauté. When the chicken is lightly coloured, add white sauce and mix.

Step 3

Add tomato puree and tomato ketchup. Mix and cook for a minute. Add almond paste and a quarter cup of water and mix well.

Step 4

In another pan heat olive oil. Add the three capsicums and sauté. Add salt to the chicken.

Step 5

Sprinkle nutmeg powder, mixed herbs and black pepper powder.

Step 6

Add sautéed capsicums to the chicken mix and serve hot.
