Ingredients list for Cheese and Egg Toast

  • 1/2 cup Cheese grated
  • 5 Eggs
  • 4 slices Brown bread
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chillies crushed
  • for greasing Oil
  • 4 teaspoons Vinegar
  • 8-10 Cherry tomatoes halved

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Heat 1-1½ cups water in non stick pan. Add salt and bring to a boil.
  3. Mix cheese, mustard powder, crushed red chillies and 1 egg in a bowl.
  4. Grease a baking tray with a little oil and place the bread slices on it. Spread cheese-egg mixture on them and cook the preheated oven till cheese melts.
  5. Break 1 egg in a bowl. Add vinegar to boiling water, slide the egg in it and poach. Similarly poach the remaining eggs.
  6. Place cheese toasts on a serving plate and put a poached egg on each of them. Place cherry tomatoes along sides and sprinkle little mustard powder on top.
  7. Serve immediately.
