Burritos With Salsa Fresca

A flour tortilla wrapped or folded around a filling of beans, lettuce, salsa and cheese. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Burritos With Salsa Fresca

  • 1/2 cup Refried beans
  • 1/2 cup Cheese grated
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Lettuce shredded
  • 1/4 cup Salsa

Method

  1. Mix together beans, lettuce, onion and cheese. Heat tortillas on a griddle plate (tawa) until hot and pliable but make sure it does not become dry.
  2. Place about two tablespoons of beans mixture a little below the center of the tortilla.
  3. Top it up with the salsa fresca and fold sides of tortilla over the filling to the center.
  4. Fold bottom over filling and roll up, enclosing filling completely. Serve immediately as burritos tend to become soggy very soon.
