Ingredients for Baked Beans In Canapes Recipe

  • Baked Beans 1/2 tin

  • Canape Cups 12

  • Oil for deep frying + 1 tablespoon

  • Onion chopped 1 medium

  • Tomato finely chopped 1 medium

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Hot and sweet sauce 1 1/2 teaspoon

  • Grated cheese for garnish

  • Coriander and mint chutney as required


Step 1

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry the canapés till lightly browned and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 2

Heat one tablespoon oil in a non stick pan. Add the onion and sauté till lightly browned.

Step 3

Add the tomato and sauté till tomato becomes soft.

Step 4

Add the salt, red chili powder and hot and sweet sauce and mix well.

Step 5

Add the baked beans and mix well. Cook for two to three minutes and remove from heat.

Step 6

Arrange the canapés on a serving plate and fill each with the cooked baked beans.

Step 7

Garnish with cheese and a dot with coriander chutney.

Step 8

Serve immediately.
