Ingredients for Apricot Upside Down Pudding Recipe

  • Golden apricots dried 200 grams

  • Whole wheat flour (atta) for dusting 1 cup

  • Butter 125 grams

  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon

  • Cinnamon powder 1 teaspoon

  • Brown sugar 125 grams

  • Egg broken 1

  • Milk 3 tablespoons

  • Honey 4 tablespoons

  • Canned peaches chopped 200 grams


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease an aluminium cake tin with little butter and dust with a little flour.

Step 2

Sift together flour, baking powder and cinnamon powder into a bowl.

Step 3

Cream butter and brown sugar in another bowl till light and fluffy.

Step 4

Add egg and keep beating. Add sifted ingredients and mix well. Add milk and mix again.

Step 5

Pour honey in the prepared tin and spread it all over.

Step 6

Mix apricots and peaches in a bowl and mix well. Transfer this over the honey in the tin and spread evenly.

Step 7

Pour batter over the fruits and spread evenly. Pat the tin lightly.

Step 8

Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 30-40 minutes.

Step 9

Remove from oven. Turn upside down on a plate, slice and serve.
