Ingredients
- 75 grams cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated processed cheese
- 4 tablespoons refined flour (maida)
- 2 cups milk
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 onion layer
- 1 clove
- 4 tablespoons butter
- Salt to taste
- Crushed black pepper powder to taste
- Black olives for garnishing
- Nachos for serving
Method
- To prepare cheese sauce, heat milk in a non-stick pan. Add bay leaf studded onion and bring to a boil. Remove the studded onion from milk and set aside.
- Heat butter in another non-stick pan. Add refined flour and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Make sure that it doesn’t turn brown. Add milk to it and mix well to make a thick paste. Add the remaining milk to it and mix further to make sure there are no lumps.
- Grate a slab of cheese and add to the sauce, and whisk well to get the desired consistency. Add grated cheese to the sauce and mix well. Add salt and pepper powder and mix. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Garnish with black olives and serve with nachos.
