You get khoya easily in the market but making it at home is easy though time consuming. Store it in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for one week or in the freezer for up to two months. Use it to make Indian sweets, cakes, cookies or curries.

Ingredients

  • 2 litres full fat milk

Method

  1. Heat milk in a wide non-stick deep pan till it comes to a boil. Continue to cook stirring continuously on low heat.
  2. Scrape the milk stuck on the sides of the pan and put it back into the milk and continue to cook while stirring continuously till milk thickens. 
  3. Cool and store in airtight containers in the refrigerator.
