Ingredients list for Watermelon Cooler with Basil Seeds

  • 1 medium Watermelon
  • 4 tablespoons Basil seeds (takmaria or sabja) soaked in water
  • to taste Black salt
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 4 Watermelon slices for garnishing

Method

  1. Peel, roughly chop and seed watermelon.
  2. Pass the watermelon pieces through a juicer, strain and collect the juice in a jar.
  3. Put black salt, crushed peppercorns basil seeds and lemon juice into four tall glasses.
  4. Pour the prepared watermelon juice in the glasses, garnish with a watermelon slice and serve.
